The Zhykionn leak writes that the game will take place in 1971, roughly 10 years after the original BioShock, but little else is known about the game's scope. The story reveals that the interdimensional events of Infinite wound up leading to the start of the original BioShock game, meaning that the original trilogy essentially creates a time loop. While 2K has said much about the game officially, job postings and some alleged leaks do suggest what direction BioShock 4 could be heading in. Now, a new chapter of the retro-futuristic franchise is currently in development. Publisher 2K Games released a remastered version of the entire franchise titled BioShock: The Collection back in 2016 and brought it to Nintendo Switch in 2020.
